X Practice Practical Examination – Computer Applications

This practice examination contains five sets of Class X Computer Applications practical questions to help students revise and improve their practical skills in LibreOffice Writer, Calc and Base.
SET 1 – Computer Applications
A. Styles
Create a document on “Importance of Education”. Apply suitable Title, Heading 1 and Heading 2 styles. Modify the Heading 1 style and save the document.
B. Working with Images
Create a document on “Save Environment”. Insert a suitable image, resize it, position it on the right side of the text and apply appropriate text wrapping.
C. Goal Seek
Create a marksheet for five students. Calculate Total and Percentage using formulas. Use Goal Seek to find the marks required in one subject to achieve 75% overall.
D. Macros
Create a spreadsheet containing the names and marks of five students. Record a macro to sort the students according to their marks and run the macro.
E. DBMS & LibreOffice Base
Create a database named SchoolDB and a table named Student with the following fields:
Student_ID
Name
Class
Division
Contact_No
Set Student_ID as the Primary Key and enter five records.
SET 2 – Computer Applications
A. Styles
Create a document on “Digital India”. Apply Title and Heading styles. Create a new custom style named “Important” and apply it to two paragraphs.
B. Advanced Writer
Create a document on “Benefits of Yoga” with at least four headings. Apply heading styles and insert an automatic Table of Contents.
C. Goal Seek
Prepare a sales spreadsheet containing Product, Quantity, Price and Total Sales. Calculate total sales and use Goal Seek to find the quantity required to achieve a given sales target.
D. Macros
Create a spreadsheet containing employee names and salaries. Record a macro to sort the salary from highest to lowest and execute the macro.
E. LibreOffice Base
Create a database named LibraryDB with a table named Books, containing the following fields:
Book_ID
Book_Name
Author
Price
Quantity
Set Book_ID as the Primary Key and enter five records.
SET 3 – Computer Applications
A. Working with Images
Create a document on “Road Safety”. Insert an image, crop it, resize it and place it beside the text using suitable text wrapping.
B. Advanced Writer
Create a report on “Annual Sports Day”. Use heading styles, insert a Table of Contents, insert an image and enable Track Changes. Make at least one change.
C. Goal Seek
Create a student marksheet for five subjects. Calculate the percentage and use Goal Seek to determine the marks required in Maths to obtain 75%.
D. Macros
Create a spreadsheet containing ten student names. Record a macro to sort the names alphabetically and run the macro.
E. DBMS & LibreOffice Base
Create a database named HospitalDB and a table named Patient with the following fields:
Patient_ID
Patient_Name
Age
Gender
Disease
Assign suitable data types, set Patient_ID as the Primary Key and enter five records.
SET 4 – Computer Applications
A. Styles
Create a document on “Artificial Intelligence”. Apply Title, Heading 1 and Heading 2 styles. Create a custom style and modify its formatting.
B. Working with Images
Create a document on “Water Conservation”. Insert two images, resize them, position them appropriately and apply suitable text-wrapping options.
C. Advanced Writer
Create a report on “School Exhibition”. Apply heading styles, insert a Table of Contents and use Track Changes to record two changes.
D. Calc – Goal Seek & Macro
Create a sales spreadsheet and calculate total profit using formulas. Use Goal Seek to find the required selling price to achieve a specified profit. Record a macro to sort the data by profit.
E. LibreOffice Base
Create a LibraryDB database with a Books table. Enter at least five records and demonstrate adding a new record and editing an existing record.
SET 5 – Computer Applications
A. Writer – Styles & Track Changes
Create a document titled “Importance of Computers”. Apply suitable styles to the title and headings, create a Table of Contents and enable Track Changes.
B. Working with Images
Create a document on “Environmental Pollution”. Insert an appropriate image, resize and crop it, position it beside the text and apply text wrapping.
C. Goal Seek
Create a marksheet with five subjects. Calculate Total and Percentage. Use Goal Seek to determine the marks required in one subject to achieve 80% overall.
D. Macros
Create a spreadsheet with student names and marks. Record and run a macro that sorts the students according to marks in descending order.
E. DBMS & LibreOffice Base
Create a database named SchoolDB with a Student table containing the following fields:
Student_ID
Student_Name
Class
Division
Date_of_Birth
Contact_No
Set Student_ID as the Primary Key and enter five records.
